The return of futsal is now very close. Saturday 4 July are in fact the quarter finals of the Coppa Italia in which the AS Breganzona of the young Jonathan Hayward will challenge the Leo Parquet Malcantone. The talented 19-year-old ango-swiss has told us about the path of his team in the Cup, revealing us his feelings about the expected quarter-final that will be played at the Palomondo in Cadempino.
Can you give us a short presentation?
“My name is Jonathan Richard Hayward, I am Swiss but of Anglo-Saxon origin from the father, I am 19 years old and I just graduated”.
Futsal starts again on Saturday with the Coppa Italia. How much desire is there to return to the field?
“The desire is great, we know that we have all the potential to win this tournament and we will do our best to raise the trophy.”
What kind of occasion is it after this long stop period?
“A good opportunity to keep fit. In this period, sport has been put in the background due to this pandemic. A thought certainly goes to all those who have lost a family member.”
You are a young player with great potential. Your best skills?
“Speed and mentality. I am British, so I always give my all to win any game.”
In the round of 16, a game of a thousand emotions: Lainate Futsal-AS Breganzona 11-12. Tell us about it.
“A stratospheric comeback, we did not expect a similar result. Basic pulled a magic of his own from the cylinder and overturned the predictions that gave us for the underdog”.
Quarter-finals of the Cup with AS Breganzona who will face Leo Parquet Malcantone. What game will it be?
“It will certainly be a tough game against a team that plays football sala as their main sport.”
Your opponents of Leo Parquet have revealed the cards: they will all be over 30 on the field. For them a lot of experience, your extra weapon instead?
“Our additional weapon will be the group. We are all very united, there is great harmony between young people and experts: we help each other to win.”
